Interchangable Temples
The frame is new “Z” hinge attachment which provides a fixed point that is beyond the eyes ability to see in the periphery. This extends the visual sight picture. This allows the panoramic lens to be the sole element in front of your eyes… No interreference from the frame or nose. The ZEUS “Z” hinge incorporates our COPA design to allow for tilting of the lens towards or away from your cheek. The Zeus can be fit with 3 different frame tips – The Copa Fork, The Extended Flying V, and the Copa Straight. The frame tip is a co-injected high performance rubber composite and is completely interchangeable with a simple tug on and off.
Temple Attachment
The ZEUS “Z” frame snaps onto the sides of the lens making it very easy to migrate the frame to each lens filter. The frame is easily removed by using both hands to crack the snaps off without putting fingerprints on the lens surface. The Frame incorporates our proprietary COPA hinge to tilt the lens to and away from the face. The tips are also extendable by pulling them out for additional wear options.
Interchangeable lenses
The ZEUS incorporates a blending “BEST OF” PILLA ZEISS coating technoloies into one platform making this technical delivery the pinnacle of our lens offerings. The cocktail of technical delivery harnesses our “LIVE coating science to reduce 99.5% of the glare on the surface of the lens – It basically eats light like a black hole; Our “SPA” technology – “Spectral Pigment Accelerators” which are robust infused color enhancers baked In the lens substrate for precise color management: Our “ICE” coatings which make the lens extremely slippery shedding water (Hydrophobics) and making the lens repel oil (Oleophobics) to provide easy cleaning; Lastly, our “IR” coatings with a special Infra-Red wave length reducer which lowers the felt heat on the back side of the lens keeping your eyes cooler and more aware over the horizon of a match.
Nosepiece
The nose piece of the ZEUS uses a single saddle mold made of high-performance silicone providing a comfortable fit while
planting the glasses on one’s face able to withstand a high levels of athletic activity.
Sweat bar
The ZEUS has a very soft rubber sweat bar and two additional “Bumpers” that can be used for additional protection. Additionally, there is an accessor bumper for the “Z” hinge. If the bumpers are not used, there is additional venting holes on either side of the center sweat bar which promotes air flow around the lens surface to reduce steaming.
FLYING V FRAME TIPS
“FLYING V” Frame Tips – The Flying V is a New frame system from Pilla that provides additional stability to the entire pair of glasses. The Tips of the frame are longer than the standard Copa Fork frame by design to provide an enhanced cradling effect behind the ears and head. Think of this like a pair of hands that hug the back of your head. The tips can be splayed up or down to provide more or less “Grip” and holding of the glasses on the players head. The top tip can also be placed under a hat to provide additional securing of the entire glass. The additional length of the Flying V Tips also act as a counter balance to the entire glass making the front of the glass extremely light feeling on the nose and provides extended wear over the day without feeling bridge weight and pain on the nose found in most sports glasses.
PANORAMIC LENS DESIGN
THE ZEUS provides a minimalistic lens shape and narrow profile while being a completely immersive experience for athletes. The panoramic visor design provides complete panoramic vision, reaching the farthest depth of one’s periphery. The ZEUS offers extended visions over the VISTA and 180 degrees of filtered vision. The athlete can fully utilize the filtered technology in every corner of their vision, enabling them, to see the full court, partners, and competitors though the panoramic lens.
