The Outlaw Top Gun provides a shooter with a visual experience unlike any other Pilla product. Our design mandate was to create a lens option that puts the shooter behind a mask to create a larger visual registration field using our exclusive Zeiss lens technology. The lens is a larger surface area so the shooter sees only filter when in the gun.

Interchangeable lenses
The Top Gun lens design offers 25% more lens surface and more wrap coverage in the periphery of the shooters vision. The center of the lens design provides the shooter more lens to look through when in the gun given the integrated sweat bar has been raised above the eyebrow horizontal. The distance between the nose and the brow bar offers a wider window than the standard outlaw X6. The lens tapers to the temple sides to provide shooters wearing a hat full utility of the design. The visual picture is exceptional.
Venting System
In addition, the lens has a new integrated venting system to help promote airflow through and around the lens. This helps in high humidity situations.
Interchangable Temples
The Top Gun uses the Outlaw X6 frame, and like the X6, comes in two different types; Fixed Geometry and Fully Adjustable using our exclusive Copa Hinge technology. Both temple types are made of high performance rubber compounds, titanium and carbon fiber. The temples snap on and off the sides of the lens mask for ease of changing to the desired lens filter.
NOTE: CXL or XW Frames do NOT Fit the Top Gun lens design.
Temple Attachment
The temple hinge slides under the perno pin to create leverage to attach the temple to the lens. It is important not to place the temple on top of the pin but under the pin as there is a machined mushroom head for the hinge to slide under. Then the temple is securely snapped into place.
Nosepiece
The Top Gun Model uses a brand new high-performance silicon nose design. The nose is a crystal saddle. This nose piece distributes the weight of the glasses to a larger surface area which makes the glasses feel like they are not even on. The material also helps anchor the lens on the face with superior comfort.
Sweat bar
The Top Gun has a very soft rubber integrated sweat bar that has been raised above the eyebrow horizontal to help provide venting and enhancing air flow on the back of the lens. We introduced this feature to help reduce steaming of the lens backside and with the combination of our new “Ice” lens coating science the effectiveness is quite stout. The lens tapers to the temple sides to provide shooters wearing a hat full utility of the design.
X6 Curve
This is a Base 6 Wrap lens which is a wider glass offering for athletes looking for a more generous fit… we classify this as medium to large sizing. Average head size, men weighing over 200 pounds and taller than 6 foot.
